The Space:
Recently updated, this spacious apartment has new furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen to make it easy to dine in. The master bedroom has a comfortable King size bed with memory foam mattress to enjoy a good night's rest, an ensuite bathroom and access to the balcony and sea views. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and is next to the 2nd bathroom. There is also a sofa bed available for additional guests in the living area. There is fast fiber Wifi throughout the unit if you need to catch up on your latest binge worthy series, and a smart tv with basic cable service available. Ceiling fans in every room, central AC, and a washer/dryer in case you need it.
Guest Access:
The small 4 unit complex has it's own private parking and shore diving and snorkeling are at your doorstep. There is step ladder access to the sea and a simple shower to rinse off salt water after a fun afternoon of exploring the marine life and corals just off the shoreline. If you don't own any dive or snorkel equipment, we are right next door to the Eden Rock Dive Center, where rentals and PADI certification classes are available. The diving center is the gateway to Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto, two of Grand Cayman's most loved shore dives. Just a short swim from shore, you'll see large coral reefs honeycombed with caves and tunnels, inhabited by hard and soft corals sponges and tropic fish including large Tarpon, Silversides, Blue Tang, Yellow Tail, and Sargent Majors.
The Neighborhood:
Conveniently located on the edge of the harbor front and shopping district of George Town, the capital city of the Cayman Islands, you are walking distance to many retail stores, from souvenir shops to high end jewelry and boutique stores. Enjoy local restaurants and bars, as well as coffee shops overlooking the harbor. You'll also find the National Museum, one of Cayman Islands few remaining 19th-century structures. The Museum’s collection contains over 8,000 items, including a 14-ft traditional handmade catboat. Seven Mile Beach is less than a 10 minute drive away, and even closer is Smith's Cove, a scenic spot with a small beach and ironshore, great for snorkeling.
Getting Around:
Local buses can be easily waved down at the roadside in front of the complex, and masks are mandatory. All taxi companies require a special license in Cayman and new hygiene regulations are in place to ensure every journey follows strict sanitation guidelines. However, car rentals are one of the easiest and most comfortable means of transport with rentals available at the airport. Grand Cayman is easy to get around and remember, driving is on the left. No two places are further than an hour’s drive apart, making exploring simple!
